Butcher/Meat Cutter

Looking for individuals both experienced and/or willing to learn. (Pay determined by experience)

Responsibilities:

Our butchers cut domestic beef, hogs, and lamb as well as a variety of wild game. Butchers are expected to break carcasses down from the rail, following “cut-to-order” instruction from the individual custom exempt cut sheets. It will be important to become familiar with the organization of coolers and paperwork to track carcasses for custom exempt orders. Butchers are also expected to work with boxed meat product to be cut and prepared for retail.

A butcher’s day begins at 5:30am to prep meat for the wrappers.

Requirements:

  • A Good Attitude

  • Able to lift 50 - 75 pounds confidently

  • Able to be on your feet all day

  • Knowledge of Retail Cuts (Beef, Pork, Lamb)

Recommended:

  • A background in the meat industry

  • Knowledge of wild game & domestic livestock

Processed Meat Engineer

Looking for individuals both experienced and/or willing to learn.

Responsibilities:

Processed Meat Engineers are responsible for the grinding, mixing, and stuffing of our processed meat products. Attention to detail will be vital in following recipes for our retail and custom exempt sausage and smoked meats.

Requirements:

  • A Good Attitude

  • Able to Lift 50 lbs confidently

  • Able to be on your feet all day

  • Attention to Detail

Recommended:

  • A background in the meat industry

Meat Wrapper

Entry Level Position - Looking for someone willing to learn.

Responsibilities:

Our wrappers are responsible for packaging our customers’ orders in a timely and presentable manner. Wrappers are also expected to aid in customer service and helping to maintain retail product.

There is room to grow in this position

Starting Wage: Minimum

Requirements:

  • A Good Attitude

  • Able to be on your feet all day

Recommended:

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Some knowledge of retail cuts of meat (Beef, Pork, Lamb)

Sanitation/Janitorial

Entry Level Position

Responsibilities:

Cleanliness is a major priority in the meat industry. Ranchers Meats is looking for individuals or a crew to preform our daily sanitation activities. These activities include but are not limited to: Washing and sanitizing our machines, equipment, floors, tables and all work surfaces as well as washing and sanitizing the daily dishes (trays, knives, lugs, tools etc.). This position would also include the daily upkeep of our retail sales floor, restrooms and offices.
